On Saturday, April 11th, the Ojai Valley Lions Club hosted a memorable Membership Appreciation Event at beautiful Lake Casitas @Lake_Casitas_recreation_area—and what a day it was! From 1–6 PM, members and guests enjoyed an incredible afternoon filled with connection, music, food, and lakeside fun.

The day kicked off with a scenic boat cruise (thank you @rotaryclubofojaiwest for generously providing the boat and pilot), followed by an afternoon of live music by Will Dickerson @willdickersonnola and Kelly Angell @kellyangell__ that set the perfect tone for the celebration.

Hosted at Picnic Area Tea Cup #2, guests enjoyed lawn games and relaxing by the water. The bar opened with Annelore @ojainativeskincare serving up the “Lion Juice,” with Eva coordinating a great selection of beer and wine.

Food was a highlight of the day, catered by Roger Mann of @big_mann_bbq—featuring delicious appetizers, sides, main courses, and dessert. Huge thanks to Sharon and Kimiko for helping select such an amazing menu!

A fun surprise for the day—Martin Sosa @martinsosadesign delighted the group with custom character sketches, giving everyone a unique keepsake to take home and remember the experience.

A special thank you to Marsha Kaye for organizing such a fantastic event, and to everyone who contributed behind the scenes—Dave Hunt, Arturo Hernandez, Lars Gustavson, Debbie Harris, Severo Lara, Al Luna and Sharon Coggins for the original idea that brought it all together.
